After 2003's Salt and 2005's Dreaming Wide Awake, some were calling Georgia native Lizz Wright the voice of jazz's future. Now, after a three-year hiatus from solo work, Wright is ready to rewrite her story with The Orchard (Verve), which puts her Southern gospel and blues roots in the foreground.
