A member of the legendary Juice Crew in the '80s and solo in the '90s, Brooklyn's Masta Ace established himself as an MC who consistently delivers. These days he's doing the team thing again, joining forces with Punchline and Wordsworth (both Lyricist Lounge alumni) and Stricklin (Royce Da 5'9" collaborator) to form the supergroup eMC. The foursome is holding a series of parties throughout the country to promote its new self-titled album, including a stop in Philly tonight. In addition to debuting new group material, each member will take a few minutes to perform solo tracks that made them underground hip-hop household names. Before that, local talent 84 and Fel Sweetenberg will take the stage, as will DJs Ultraviolet and Obi-Won.
Thu., March 20, 9 p.m., $10, with eMC, 84, Fel Sweetenberg, Charlie K, DJ Obi-Won and DJ Ultraviolet, Philly Room, Ninth and Willow streets, 610-457-3493.
