Little ditty about Jack and Diane (pictured), two African black-footed penguins growin' up in Camden. Along with Minnie, Cliff, DJ, Charlie, Sheraton, Kamikaze and Tyson, these adorable birds will star in Adventure Aquarium's Penguin Palooza, a weekend for fans of all ages. The black-tie-optional event will feature plenty of penguin activities, including a penguin conga line, singing contest and fish diving. For the little ones, there's a penguin parade that will end with the waddling birds and a Swedish Fish-eating contest.
While visitors also cannot actually feed the birds, there will be regular opportunities to watch the little guys dine on whole squid, capelin and mackerel. Staff and biologists will be on hand at these times to answer questions, such as why penguins are black and white (A: To keep them safe from predators above and below the waterline!)
