Forget all that metaphoric jive about wearing many hats. At last count, human beings still have only one head, which makes choosing the best gear to represent the City of Brotherly Love a serious decision. The Yo Philly hat, featuring a logo reminiscent of the Yo! MTV Raps graphic minus the exclamation point, is a worthy candidate. Designed by New Era, the wool cap is the same model worn by Major League Baseball players. However, aside from the color scheme (old-school maroon or blue and red), the shout-out chapeau doesn't explicitly proclaim its Phillies allegiance, making it perfect for the Mets fans living surreptitiously among us.

While Yo caps are available for other baseball towns with nicknames (The Bay, The Burgh, H Town), "Yo" resonates just a little truer in Philly. After all, it was "Yo Adrian!" not "Yo some girl from Brew City!"
