1 Number of parking lots — due to a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park — that will be available for the Eagles' 2008 National Anthem Auditions on July 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field, where participants will try out for the chance to perform the anthem during an Eagles home game. Performers must audition in person and no pre-registration is required. Participants should park in the "J" lot at the end of 11th Street and enter the stadium through the South Gate, where they should also be prepared to exit in shame. Much like a normal home game.

5 Number of letters participants must avoid acquiring in the game of SKATE — the skateboarding equivalent of HORSE in basketball — which will be played July 26 at 2 p.m. at Whitehall Skate Park on Tulip and Wakeling streets. Call 215-435-1428 for information. I know the tricks will escalate, and the Delaware is nearby, but remember: Skateboards don't work on water.

10 Number of "Things to Know About Cancer Clinical Trials," according to the Wellness Community of Philadelphia, which will host an information session to "distinguish myths from facts" on July 31 at 6:30 p.m. at The Suzanne Morgan Center at Ridgeland, Chamounix Drive, West Fairmount Park. Call 215-879-7733 for information. Myths may also be distinguished from legends and fables if there is time and interest.

16 Number of days Philadelphia gun owners have left to report lost or stolen guns before the city begins to issue fines of $1,900 for failing to do so within 24 hours, according to the mayor's office, which announced the 30-day moratorium that began July 10. During the period, citizens are encouraged to call 911 if they lost their gun, but discretion is urged for those who have lost their car keys or a game of SKATE.

17 Surname of the tavern — Tavern 17, on 220 S. 17th Street — that will host the Pennsylvania SPCA's "Yappy" Hour, a benefit featuring "dog-friendly dining with a full dog menu and specialty cocktails for you," on July 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. on the terrace. Four Liberty Bells for anyone who dresses their dog as Craig LaBan in disguise.
