Big trendy gemstone rings and layers of slinky necklaces have their place in the jewelry box. This Philadelphia-based metalworker keeps things delicate with hand-sculpted earrings, bracelets and brooches. Working in silver, copper and brass, King embraces a whimsical style that teeters on the brink of fantasy. Take, for instance, the oversize butterfly earrings with gemstone faces and rhinestone details on their meticulously designed wings. A pair of simple gold cuffs are ever-so-subtly pocked and textured, and a piece of embroidered fabric even sneaks its way into a pair of earrings.

VIX Emporium — which recently celebrated King's latest collection with an in-store reception — has plenty of pieces on hand for those in need of a sophisticated kick of glitz.
