Ridiculous, sexed-up, taunting, teasing, smirking, lipsticking, eye-lining, tough-fronting, grill-flashing, blinged-out, hip-hoppish, Lauperistic, Carlisle-humping, Beastie-boiling, keytarded, drum-machinated, narcissistic, dirty, flirty, hurty, The Hills-worshiping, mojito drunk, catchy, ultra-ridiculous, over-the-top dance music by three girls from California. It's really super mega-ridiculous.

It's been only a few months since they last played Philadelphia, but Beach House's slow-unfurling music begs for repeated listens. On record, their gauzy, autumnal pop hangs in the air like an old, disused suspension bridge — slightly desolate, but with a maudlin majesty. Live, the Baltimore-based duo ramp up the sound, grounding their songs in swathes of reverb that turn their sepia-tinged tunes into psychedelic swirls.

Jarvis Cocker once sang: "If you didn't come to party then why did you come here?" Put that on the door for this show. Both bands meld indie and punk aesthetics with a healthy dollop of dance music. England's The Go! Team (pictured) is a cut-and-paste college pep squad for those of us who never made the team. Meanwhile, the CSS live show promises party anthems played by people in garish leotards. Whatever you do, wear sensible shoes.

At the 080808 fest in Northern Liberties, 8GB, Animal Style, Auto Da Fe, Nullsleep, Cheap Dinosaurs and MinusBaby will pound out crafty digital beats using retro and obsolete video game consoles from your childhood and call it music. It's topped off with visual stimulations provided by No Carrier and the Hacktory's resident artist, VBLANK.
