With the exception of one or two of these, these are horrendous. What exactly was the criteria?

wow you suck. i sent you five comics, granted one was family circus, still they were all funnier than any of the ones you picked. i'm so glad i got my website up in time for people to make their own decision http://www.sittinginthetubwiththeshoweron.com/ i think instead of drawing now i'll try to get a bj from Alvaro Lopez-Moreno. it must be awesome. and next time i want to get in city paper i'll just pose as a tranny hooker. i pick up my dog's shit with your rag. again, you suck.

Awesome pick with Beth Heinly's comic (The Count)! Check out more of her work at http://www.the3oclockbook.com/ - She singlehandedly created the website and it ROCKS. (You can check out some of my work there too... I suppose disembodied breasts are not funny enough for CP... oh well!). Love ya anyway. Where else would I go to get my tranny hooker services? xo

thanks for publishing my comic . its probably the least funny of the ones i submitted, but the others you can check out on citypaper.net. some more limestone cowboys crap up at myspace.com/jessevalentine. and the other cartoonists were really great too. keep up the good work!

i just want to apologise for what i said to all the other artists who submitted. you are all great and so are your submissions. i was mad at mr.rapa. i felt like if he didn't like my work then why did he write that whole idiotic preamble about it. i felt like he subverted me! please forgive me everyone but patrick. he can still suck me

Mr. Gehringer,

You seem like such a wonderful person. I'm so disappointed not to see your work.

Jerk.

Jack, do I still get to give you a bj?
by Alvaro on August 16th 2008 3:59 AM

yes
by jack gehringer on August 16th 2008 7:58 AM

Sweet.
by Alvaro on August 16th 2008 4:00 PM

IT'S NOT SWEET (see above)
by Maureen Cummings on August 16th 2008 11:32 PM

But remember all the other flavors....
by Maureen Cummings on August 16th 2008 11:34 PM

wow, these are some of the worst comics I've ever seen!! god forbid citypaper actually print work by actual cartoonists rather than the inane doodles that some idiot scribbled on a bar napkin??

thanks again, citypaper, for firmly redefining philadelphia as the most comics-retarded city in the entire country.

Hi. I'm from Philadelphia, also known as "the most comics-retarded city in the entire country".
