You couldn't ask for a lovelier lineup for an acoustic show in the round than these three ladies. Rebecca Pronsky (pictured) struck a deep chord on last year's Departures & Arrivals, with a little twang and a lot of empathy. She's likely to try out some new songs before she goes into the studio next month. Lucy Wainwright Roche lives up to her family names; it's hard to tell whether more credit belongs to folk-pop pop Loudon and mom Suzzy for passing down their DNA or half-brother Rufus for making her road-worthy. Either way, the plucky heartache and wonder evident on her two EPs, Eight Songs and Eight More, is all her. Nicole Reynolds has a swoony lilt and songs to match. She's put out two albums in the past year, and by the end of September's CD release show for Unordinary Mine, her charming stage presence surely sparked a number of hopeless crushes. Brooklynites Pronsky and Roche have often shared a stage, but Reynolds should have no trouble fitting right in. Imagine, an in-the-round show without a weak link.
