Liquid Chef Junior Merino at Tequilas
Jan. 9, 10, 15 and 16

Watch — and taste — as the staff at Tequilas launches its new cocktail program designed by "Liquid Chef" Junior Merino. A New York-based mixologist, Merino feels that food and drink exist as yin and yang; they should complement each other in balance and harmony. The Liquid Chef will be in the house on multiple dates, mixing up innovative drinks like the Wild Passion, featuring Siembra Azul tequila, ginger liqueur, passion fruit and mango purées, lemon, simple syrup and a pasilla spice-salted rim. Tequilas Restaurant, 1602 Locust St., 215-564-0181, tequilasphilly.com.

Unbridaled Expo
Sat., Jan. 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Spend the day browsing through the old, the new, the borrowed and the brew at this second annual anti-bridal expo. Vendors include Delicious Boutique, North Bowl and Ciao Bella Cakes. Stop by the Memphis Taproom table for free local beers — a great way to rid yourself of the jitters that come with preparation for the big day. Unbridaled Expo, Crane Arts Building, 1400 N. American St., 267-269-8237, unbridaledexpo.com.

Five-Course Wine Dinner at Yangming

HALF OFF DEPOT
Why live life at full price?
Wed., Jan. 14, 6:30 p.m., $110

Greg Moore, former sommelier of Le Bec-Fin and one half of Jersey's Moore Brothers, pairs five of his favorite wines with Yangming's courses, including jumbo crab cakes, roasted Chilean sea bass and five-spice duck. Enjoy champagne and butlered hors d'oeuvres — tuna Tuscany, mushroom egg rolls, tamarind lamb — during an hourlong pre-dinner preamble. Reservations by phone. Yangming, 1051 Conestoga Road, Bryn Mawr, 610-527-3200, yangmingrestaurant.com.

WineO Thursdays Recession-Buster Date Night
Thu., Jan. 15, $50 per couple

We can never resist the urge to shout out cheap eats, and that's why we're proud that this new NoLibs baby is already stepping up to the plate. Take your sweetie to date night every Thursday for a three-course meal including app, entrée and dessert — and a bottle of red or white house wine — for less than it would cost to stop by the concession stand at the Ritz. WineO, 447 Poplar St., 215-925-0999.

Holy Smoke Weyerbacher Night
Wed., Jan. 14, 7-9 p.m.

Be in the house when Devil's Den welcomes Weyerbacher's newest creation. Fireside Ale (7.4 percent ABV) and a few of his Weyery friends — Merry Monks, Thirteen and Double Simcoe — will be on draught, with assorted on-tap and flight specials. Special barbecue fare doused in a smoked sauce will be on hand to accompany the brew. Take it all in, quite thematically, cozied up next to the Den's roaring fireplace. Devil's Den, 1148 S. 11th St., 215-339-0855, devilsdenphilly.com.
