Mémé's David Katz will be joined by his mentor, chef Corbin Evans, for this special five-course reunion meal. Katz says that Evans, who ran a number of Philly restaurants (Pollo Rosso, Lillies) before relocating to New Orleans, is the reason he decided to cook for a career, so grab a table at one of the two seatings to see what student and teacher will whip up. Chef Joe Lakavage, who worked with the guys at Lillies, will also throw down in the kitchen for the special night. What's on the menu? Xochitl chef/owner Dionicio Jimenez is offering a special menu in honor of Mexico's first president, Benito Juarez. The four-course "pre-Hispanic" selection includes indigenous eats like veal brains, frog legs and grasshoppers in addition to milder fare like Mexican broccoli cakes and chicken with pine nuts and pine cones.
