hip-hop

Keith Thornton, aka Kool Keith, has more akas than an alter ego should. The former Ultramagnetic MC morphed in 1996 into the character of dark sci-fi rhymer/extraterrestrial gynecologist Dr. Octagon. In 1999, Keith reemerged as cannibal/serial killer Dr. Dooom and killed off Dr. Octagon, a symbolic attempt to distance himself from DocOc's largely alternative audience. Naturally, Dr. Octagon rose from the dead in 2006 only to be killed off again by Dr. Dooom in 2008. Given all that, it makes something like sense that hip-hop's greatest dueling split personalities will square off at Johnny Brenda's. This could get ugly; don't tell Black Elvis.
