Luna Theater Co. completes a season of quirky Philly premières with Paula Vogel's seldom-seen exploration of our culture's toxic mingling of sex, violence and power. Vogel introduces suburban mom Charlene (Catherine Palfenier), writing erotic screenplays to support her two tech-addled teens while her narrative voice (Kirsten Quinn) weaves in action from the noirish thriller she's trying to finish. This two-worlds-in-one production promises comedy while asking, "What's more obscene, pornography or domestic violence?"
April 9-May 2, $25-$35, Luna Theater Co. at Walnut Street Theatre Studio 5, 825 Walnut St., 866-811-4111, lunatheater.org.
