Kurt Wunder

Stylist: Matthew Izzo | Location: 700 Club

Kurt Wunder doesn’t know what to do with his hands. For the 700 Club owner/master carpenter, who spent the last 12 hours using those hands to build a dump truck’s worth of fake rocks on the set of M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, pressing a glass of Rittenhouse Rye 100 into them solves the problem. The 700 Club itself, like cocktails and flannel work shirts, never goes out of style in certain circles; Wunder deems the shirt “a bit flashy for me,” but is bemused to learn his old Red Wing logger boots are back in style.

► Flannel shirt, KZO ($130); jeans, Cheap Monday autobahn/unwash ($65); belt, Modern Amusement ($68): all at Matthew Izzo (151 N. Third St.); logger boots, model’s own.

► Shot upstairs at 700 Club, 700 N. Second St.
