Screw Christmas — summer's the most wonderful time of the year. The days are longer. The weather is warmer. People on the street are dropping the asshole routine just because the sun is shining.

To celebrate, we here at City Paper have come up with something for you to do each and every gosh darned day from now till Labor Day — be it singing your heart out to Björk at indie karaoke, getting soft pretzels hot off the conveyor belt in the wee hours of the South Philly morn or stargazing during the Perseid meteor shower. And you're going to do each and every one of these activities we've planned for you. Why?

Because we said so.

Because they're fun.

And because it's summer.

So break out the shorts, sundresses and sunblock and hide those sweaters in the farthest reaches of your closet. It's beginning to look a lot like summer.
