Philly's so bursting with talented dancers these days, it's hard to keep track. Thank goodness for nEW Festival, the whirlwind showcase of some of the best dancemaking on the horizon. Charles O. Anderson's Dance Theater X will première the first installment of World Headquarters, which — using typically challenging source material — explores the end of civilization. On a lighter note, Melanie Stewart Dance Theatre will preview their 2009 Live Arts Festival piece Kill Me Now, a satirical send-up of reality shows like Dancing With the Stars. Jaamil Kosoko — who's been a standout in his work with Headlong and Keely Garfield — will present VIRUS, in which dancers tangled up in electrical wire move through questions about the intersection of technology and society. Gabrielle Revlock of Jeanne Ruddy Dance will fuse dance, theater, text, visual art and music to tell a slightly fictionalized autobiographical tale. Along with additional première performances from Olive Prince Dance (pictured), Da-Da-Dance Project and more, the festival also offers classes and workshops through June 19.
