11th Hour Theatre Co. turns the clock back to 1963: Two young men yearn to sing at the legendary Fox Theater — but one's black and the other's white, which spells trouble. Composer Ray Leslee and writer John Jiler's songs are all a cappella and span doo-wop, rock, gospel, blues and jazz. Veteran Philly theatergoers should remember the Wilma's 1997 production, which won three Barrymore Awards, including Best Overall Production of a Musical — and will no doubt be eager to experience this new staging by up-and-comer 11th Hour.
