Bet you didn't know Philly had a Metropolitan Opera House. The operative word is "had" — the structure, built circa 1908, began as a grand opera palace and has, in the ensuing century, been the scene of basketball games, ballroom dancing, boxing matches and church services. Talk about holy ghosts. All this history comes into play when Group Motion Dance Co., as part of Hidden City Philadelphia's closing weekend, collaborates with abstract, site-based choreographer Wally Cardona and innovative performance composer Phil Kline. Kline is perhaps best-known in these parts for his roving boom-box cavalcade Unsilent Night.
