Athens, Ga., duo Jucifer is best known for blasting out massive, sludgy rock 'n' roll in front of a colossal wall of amps. Which is fair. It's no mistake: They're on Relapse. But there's something to be said for the moments when they take one foot off the gas and let G. Amber Valentine's fallen-angel vocals and spidery guitars give you a lift rather than run you over.
