It's funny. Just last week I was talking to a friend about one of my faves, Univox — Philly's answer to the question: What would it sound like if The Kinks covered Wire's Pink Flag? — and where they had been hiding. Where the bristling Philly quartet has been is in the offices of ROIR, the onetime cassette-only label, making a deal for its first-ever vinyl single ("Lying Fuck") and its soon-to-follow unnamed debut CD produced by Bill Moriarity (Man Man, Dr. Dog). Hey, I asked.
