This six-piece from Philly can't climax. Instead, they work dreamy guitars and breathy vocals into a crescendo that just keeps growing, leaving you to think they've surely broken some law of physics. It puts you in a gleeful frenzy that any Sonic Youth or My Bloody Valentine fan knows well. Their music video for "Arcanum Ghost" — arguably the best track on Artful Rifle — is just as agitated, showing teenyboppers as they're forced to watch awkward grownups take to the stage. Here's hoping Gildon Works' live show is a bit more comfortable.
