Mon., Aug. 3, 8 p.m., $5 (online)-$10 (at the door), Nice People Theatre Co. at The Power Plant, 233 N. Bread St., 202-744-3362, nicepeopletheatre.org.
Monday's performance of Conor Mitchell and Matthew Hurt's well-received musical comedy about a therapy group is not only a tune-up for director Bill Felty's cast, reunited after last year's two successful runs, but a fundraiser for their trek to Scotland's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show also offers a peek at Old City's subterranean Power Plant space, where Nice People co-artistic directors Nicole Paloux and Miriam White will produce their fourth season. Helping Nice People make a nice trip to perform Nice Life — nice, right?

Hi,
Saw this at Edinburgh on 8 August 2009 --- brilliant. Great cast and powerful story. BUT .... only 4 in the audience for the first show and 15 for the second show, which we saw. There do not seem to be any posters or flyers advertising this show --- why is the publicity so poor? Good luck to the company, they deserve success at Edinburgh.
