You Got It

Really great article, nice to see such a lengthy feature on Miss Blank [Cover Story, "Gimme What You Got," A.D. Amorosi, July 23, 2009], finally. This has been my most-anticipated new album of the summer, I'm suped!

I'm completely unfamiliar with Amanda's work and want to give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe when she wrote, "Why you showin' them coochie lips/ Gettin' up out your car," she just hadn't had her coffee yet that day. I tend to have trouble being naughty, haughty and funny before I get my caffeine on myself.

Great article. Fascinated with all the pics. Looks like photo shoot was at Scoop DeVille on Chestnut.

[Editor's note: Phyllis, you're correct!]

Can we all agree that Drew's cancer blows?

I blame Drew's cancer for the fears that my 6-year-old has now — that no child should ever have [Naked City, "The Culprit," Morgan Davis, July 23, 2009]. She has been cancer-free for 19 months. So take that, Drew's cancer.

Kathy

I blame Drew's cancer for turning my life into a ball of confusion with my husband's cancer. I also blame Drew for giving me the courage to be supportive and give hope. Cancer can kiss Drew's ass!

Correction

"Steamrolled!: The Soccer Stadium Barrels its Way into Chester" [Cover Story, Isaiah Thompson, July 16, 2009] contains an error. The story says that because the land along the Chester waterfront is a Keystone Opportunity Zone, owners do not have to pay taxes on it for 12 years. In fact, the property tax abatement for all Keystone Opportunity Zones in Chester ends in 2013. City Paper regrets the error.
