I wouldn't be surprised if this sweaty, hairy L.A. band turned out to be some kind of cult. Not in the comet-worshipping, sneaker-wearing Polyphonic Spree way. Something more openly sinister. Which is not to say their huge hippie-cowboy-freak-folk isn't joyful. It is. Catchy, too, and wonderfully eclectic. I'm just saying eventually they'll be caught bathing in hobo blood, and on that day I'll be like I told you!
