Amanda Troeder is sick of the Iraq war. So, with the help of the writings of veterans nationwide, she's publishing Time to Act to shed light upon its effects on those involved — in the form of essays, poetry and artwork. "I believe more people need to be engaged," says Troeder. But enlightenment costs money: In order to raise funds for this completely DIY project, which is still in the works, Troeder's holding a fundraiser complete with bands, a DJ and spoken word.
