Despite the nonthreatening white tights, Napoleon was one heck of a military leader. The National Constitution Center's summer exhibit on him closes this week, and to celebrate, it's throwing a weekend-long party in his honor. Attendees can make bicorn hats and tinfoil swords at arts 'n' crafts sessions, examine displays detailing the formations of Napoleon's troops, and listen to discussions on how France and America are forever entwined because of their respective revolutions. You can also take tours of Philly's little-known ties to French history — like the French Benevolent Society at Third and Chestnut streets, and Washington Square, where our first prez met with the French rebel Marquis de Lafayette.
