Talk about a triple threat. Current Port Fishington settlers Free Energy showed us the potency of their Freaks & Geeks-ish skuzz rock at Making Time two weeks ago, and Brown Recluse's new Soft Skin 12-inch is delightful. This is their record release and all, but watch North Jersey's Screaming Females steal the show. They're a power trio in every sense of the word; Marissa Paternoster wails on the vocals and stompbox riffs, while the two dudes backing her up dish the energy like Bricks Are Heavy. Take it all in at Pi Lam tomorrow.
