When former biker David Mockus hung up his helmet, he began looking for a new way to express his love for motorcycles. That gave rise to the first-ever Philadelphia Motorcycle Show, a weekend-long festival held in a 200,000-square-foot venue. Its lineup seeks to appeal to both Harley fanboys and BMX bikers. Bike vendors will sell their wares, The Allman Brothers tribute band Brother Peach will perform and a hot-rod-themed carnival will take place. Other highlights include a BMX stunt show, a bike-building competition and a biker brawl, where bikers will duel in mixed martial arts fights. Mockus says it'll be the largest bike show in the area since 2000, even though Philly ranks fourth in the nation for motorcycle sales. "I'm just bringing back what the city has missed for too long," he says.
