"If I were a fish, and you were a seashell," sings the oh-so-delicate-voiced Sigurlaug Gísladóttir, "would you marry me anyway? Would you have my babies?" It's just the sort of adorable brain-itch (how would a fish and a seashell, like, procreate?) the atmospheric Icelandic collective Múm's made its stock in trade. The question kicks off the band's conundrumically titled sixth full-length, Sing Along to Songs You Don't Know (Morr Music/Euphono). The music here is more upbeat and expansive — and, OK, a lot less creepily twitchy — than in the days when Múm was the insular little huddle of Gunnar Örn Tynes, Örvar ýóreyjarson Smárason and the since-departed Valtýsdóttir sisters, but even with a band roster that now numbers seven, Múm's certainly no less adventurous.
