You know, when Dave P. and co. announced they were gonna turn their time-honored Making Time throwdown into a pool party a couple times this summer, well, I kinda sorta thought something bad was gonna happen. (Why? I dunno. There was this gnarly 3-D blood-fountain scene involving a pool filter in The Final Destination and ... I worry a lot.) My fraidy sense isn't tingling at all about this weekend's big huge Halloween monstrosity. I mean, luring Philadelphia's entire hipster population to a Kensington warehouse? With an open bar? What could possibly go wrong? Seriously, though, the music should be scary good: British beat kings Simian Mobile Disco bolster your regular lineup of local spinners, Dave P., Dave Pak and Mike Z. So, unless you're all due for some kind of pig-bloody Carrie-style comeuppance, this one should only be a night to remember in a good way.
