I've been rocking this group a ton in the past 12 months. Almost invariably, anyone uninitiated within earshot responds by grinning, grooving and demanding to know who it is. Which can sometimes lead to a bit of confusion: "... the very best what?" Very best album you'll hear all year? Highly probable. Very best instance of 21st-century intercontinental musical cross-pollination ? Very best charismatic developing-world vocalist (viz., the angel-voiced, Cheshire-smiled Malawian crooner Esau Mwamwaya) meets savvy Western production (French/Swedish-via-London electro-mangling duo Radioclit)? Pretty much, yeah, though their music can hardly be reduced to a simple A-plus-B formula. Best way for you to spend your Tuesday night? Inarguably. The greatest feeling in the whole world? Well, take a listen. Truth in advertising.
