Look, man, Lenka's got cred. You'd hardly guess it from a listen to her sugar-sweet piano-pop stylings — probably best sampled via "The Show," the toe-tapping ditty that's garnered her most of her American listenership so far, thanks, predictably, to Old Navy ads and an Ugly Betty placement — or from a glance at her cute-as-a-button album art (which makes her seem about half her age, at most) but the 31-year-old Aussie cut her teeth in orthodox boho-hipster fashion, as an art student and Sydney indie rock scenester. Then she tossed all that, moved to L.A., and, y'know, basically tried her best to sell out. But she knows what she's doing. A self-described "smile delivery service," in the past year she's won over toddlers, teenagers and thirtysomethings, adoring Asians, enthusiastic Germans, rowdy Utahns and impassive New Yorkers. This is her first trip to Philly; let's see if she can't get us to give up a grin.
