Drummers of Philadelphia, do you have the nerve to participate in an intimate frame-drum workshop with a multi-Grammy winner? Your chance to step up to the bodhrán comes this Saturday afternoon, when Glen Velez will offer insight into his unique fusion of techniques from around the world. His partner in Breathing Rhythms, Lori Cotler, will also share her approach to Indian rhythmic singing. Velez and Cotler switch to performance mode in the evening — a can't-miss for rhythm addicts.

Sat., Nov. 14, workshop 2 p.m., $45-$50; show 8 p.m., $20-$25; The Psalm Salon, 5841 Overbrook Ave., 215-477-7578, psalmsalon.com.
