Crafts and sustainability tend to work well together. While making your own scarf doesn't presuppose that you recycle, it probably means that you've put unwanted yarn to good use before. "Repurposing and reclaiming materials comes from a crafty mentality," says Scott Bills, coordinator of Cut the Craft! That's why Bills decided to invite only crafters who make sustainable goods, including clothing, jewelry and artwork, to his show. More than 30 artists will be in attendance, but my favorites are local clothing company Dot & Irma; and Mama May i, which whips up crafts with baby in mind.
