4 Corners Management's latest venture, which brings its two-location Drinker's name out to University City, is located in the palatial corner space that was O'Hara's Fish House. They've dramatically overhauled the interior — the soaring ceilings now house wide-open booth and stool seating and bars on both the ground level and the 100-head mezzanine. On the menu: finger foods, fries, a sandwich/taco lineup (topping out at $8) and a collection of 12- or 16-inch pizzas. You can build your own pie or order up one of four signatures (taco, buffalo, spicy pulled pork or cheeseburger). A dozen beers on tap. Hours: Tue. to Fri., 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Sat. and Sun., noon to 2 a.m. Check out the full menu on Meal Ticket.

Sang Kee Noodle House
Sheraton University City, 3549 Chestnut St., 215-387-8808, sangkeenoodlehouse.com

Michael Chow's also caught the U-City bug — he opened his fourth Sang Kee location (joining the original in Chinatown, the stand in Reading Terminal Market and the bistro in Wynnewood) on the ground floor of the Sheraton last Tuesday. It's designed with the college crowd in mind, with ample seating, warp-speed service and sleek décor. The huge-but-affordable menu, which tops out at $16, features all manner of soups, rice bowls and entrees. And yes, you can get their signature duck here, by the quarter, half or whole. Hours: Sun. to Thu., 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Fri. and Sat., 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. More on Meal Ticket.

LITTLE VITTLES

>> South Philly Taproom owner John Longacre's Brew (1900 S. 15th St.) has been operating without a liquor license since opening in May due to neighborhood objections. He's holding a PLCB-sanctioned public hearing Fri., Dec. 11, at the old Strawbridge's at 801 Market St. to provide a platform for support and concerns. To attend, you must R.S.V.P. to SPTR bar manager Kathryn Hague at 267-971-2698 or kathryn@southphiladelphiataproom.com. More information about the meeting on Meal Ticket.

>> Also on Dec. 11, at 9 a.m., Fresh Grocer is opening a 46,000-square-foot location in North Philly's Progress Plaza with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
