Although celebrating the release of his new CD with David Grubbs and Paul Lytton, Seven Storey Mountain, Nate Wooley will be performing with a completely different trio — which is somehow appropriate given the trumpeter's resistance to predictability. The trio, with Chris Corsano's drums and C. Spencer Yeh's violin and electronics, can be expected to conjure a sonic environment full of rich textures and emergent surprises. They'll share a bill with alto saxophonist Dave Rempis and drummer Frank Rosaly, frequent collaborators in the busy Chicago scene.
