All over the Web this weekend, music fans were venting their shock and grief at the news that Philadelphia guitar wizard Jack Rose had passed away following a heart attack at age 38. Rose, formerly of the noise-folk band Pelt, spent the last decade gently wowing Philly audiences with his magic-fingered acoustic ragtime. On Friday, WPRB DJ Maria Tessa Sciarrino will pay tribute to Rose by dedicating her show, Her Jazz, to his music. It's not too late to listen.
