Marina Makaron Moscow Trunk Show

Marina Makaron Moscow weaves Russian folktales, fantasy and dreams into the fanciful prints of her scarves, bow ties, ribbons and "Fifi flowers" (pictured). See the silks in person and learn how to style them at this accessories trunk show, all while sipping champagne. Katie Carrara's Buttercream cupcake truck is stopping by to ply you with desserts, too. This precise combination of silks, bubbly and sugar creates a chain reaction in your brain that fires directly to your credit card — beware. Sat., Dec. 12, 1-4 p.m., free, Matthew Izzo, 151 N. Third St., 215-829-0606, mmmakaron.com.

PRÊT Á PORTER

Designer Loris Diran, Sarah Dash of R&B trio Labelle and Bermuda Speaker of the House Jennifer Smith will co-chair this second annual fashion show to benefit Evoluer House, a nonprofit that provides personal development services to at-risk teen girls. Hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and a silent auction will accompany the spring 2010 collections of Mal Sirrah, Bweela Steptoe, Melani Von Alexandria and Autumnlin Design. Guests will also have a chance to test-sniff Dash's new fragrance, " ... Just a Dash"; a portion of the sale price benefits Evoluer House. Fri., Dec. 11, 7-10 p.m., $60-$75, Painted Bride Art Center, 230 Vine St., 215-925-9914, evoluerhouse.org.
