Ever wonder how Carnivolution’s Jelly Boy slips swords down his throat like they’re margaritas? Sideshow arts expert David Smith will lead a discussion on how people do just that, as well as eat fire, walk on hot coals, hammer nails into their faces and perform a menagerie of other freakish acts. While the event will be more of a demo than a training course, Smith says participants can engage in some hands-on activities, like lying on a bed of nails and sticking a nail through their nasal cavities. And you thought gulping down aunt Shirley’s holiday fruitcake was dangerous.
