150 Beers for 150 Years at McGillin's

In the spirit of New Year's resolutions and all that seasonal jazz, McGillin's is kicking off an undertaking that all of us can get behind: In honor of the bar's 150th anniversary, they plan on offering 150 different beers to customers in 2010. One-Year Anniversary Party at Local 44

Local 44, which opened New Year's Day 2008, is celebrating its big uno with food and drink. Festivities will begin at 4, when they'll tap sought-after anniversary and winter beers they've been setting aside for months — expect offerings from Stone, Scaldis, Lost Abbey, Dogfish Head, Ommegang, Port Brewing, Russian River and more. New Year's Day Brunch at Silk City Diner

It's never too early in the week for brunch, especially if your booze-battered stomach is screaming for greasy retribution the morning after everyone's favorite evening of overindulgence. On New Year's Day, Silk City will be offering its weekend brunch menu, which features faves like the roasted portobello mushroom omelette, tofu scramble, you're-gonna-need-it "Hangover Helper" (scrapple-stuffed French toast with fried eggs and potatoes) and the infamous foie gras scrapple, made with a blend of house-made pork sausage and diced foie. Pajama Party Brunch at White Dog Café

When you wake up New Year's Day, keep those jammies on and head out to White Dog Café for the restaurant's 26th annual pajama party brunch. Eat in the comfort of your footie PJs while digging into an a la carte brunch. Eats will include Belgian waffles with sugar cane-roasted heirloom apples, wet walnuts, ginger-scented whipped cream and cider maple syrup; and crème brülée brioche French toast.
