Only one weekend left to catch this new play by Nicholas Wardigo, ambitiously produced by Plays & Players, who also premièred the local playwright's Exit, Corpse last year. Both offer strong, dangerous women. In Concrete Dinosaur, they're Main Line housewives led by Peggy Smith's imperious martini-swilling Angelica and tempted by shirtless handyman Armando Batista. Lance Moore's scenic design makes her backyard a big "X" in Plays & Players' intimate upstairs space, with the audience tucked in corners close to the action, and features the titular stony reptile in a dark comedy that sizzles with sexual tension and naughty secrets.
Through Jan. 24, $20-$25, Plays & Players Theater, 1714 Delancey St., 215-735-0630, playsandplayers.org.
