While all burlesque relies on the power of the unexpected, the traveling Pretty Things Peepshow has a fishnetted leg up on other troupes — if only because the girls are trained in several types of circus arts, not just one. "In our show, you have no idea what's going to happen next," says producer Amy Hodgson. "A performer might take her clothes off or swallow a sword or breathe fire." So what's specifically in store for Philly's pre-Valentine's Day treat? "Lots of cutlery, machetes, fire and some knives."
