For 25 years, the Community Education Center's New Edge Mix has provided experience "for performers who have had few performing opportunities." The upcoming mix is especially promising: Here(Begin)Dance works with a visual artist and percussionist to explore the human condition; Anna Drozdowski conducts live music for her dance Bees and the Ballet, which has something to do with hierarchy and waggling; The Late Bloomers were inspired by the mathematical and evolution simulator known as "the game of life"; Shandra Staley contributes a group work celebrating the courage of African women victimized by war; and Jen McGinn presents Burgundy Court, a "journey of antiquities" performed by her brother.
