National Pancake Day at IHOP
Tues, Feb. 23, 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., FREE

Fat Tuesday came and went, but you can still stuff yourself silly with a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes for National Pancake Day. Though it's probably the only day of the year worth going to IHOP, who are we to say no to free food? If you really want to be economical about it, hit up as many of the local participating locations as you can before the day is up. All they ask in return is that you make a donation to Children's Miracle Network, which supports local childrens' hospitals. IHOP, 1320 Walnut Street, 215-732 1726, ihop.com. Winter Olympics at Devil's Den
Fri, Feb. 12 - Sun, Feb. 28, 6:00 p.m., pay-as-you-go

Until shoveling show becomes an official Olympic sport, leave it to the professionals. But you can still get your hands on a bit of gold this week at Devil's Den, where they'll be tapping a different award-winning beer for each day of the Winter Olympics. The rotating draft menu is made up of winners from the Great American Beer Festival over the past three years, including selections from nearby champs like Tröegs, Flying Fish and Sly Fox. Ten other medal-winning brews will be available in bottles all week. Devil's Den, 1148 South 11th Street, 215-339-0855, devilsdenphilly.com.

"Chocolate, Candy and Cough Drops" at West Laurel Hill Cemetery
Sun, Feb. 21, 2:00 pm, $8-15

West Laurel Hill Cemetery is home to a slew of famous foodies, including members of the Hershey, Breyer and Luden families (purveyors of chocolate, ice cream and candy, respectively).  Check out a presentation on the origins of chocolate and candies in America, before a reception with refreshments from these famous confectioners. What might normally seem macabre actually sounds like fun. The bill of fare includes mini Breyer's ice cream cones and a fondue trio of Hershey's milk chocolate, white chocolate and peanut butter and Luden's cherry candy. West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 215 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA, 19004, 610-664-1591, forever-care.com.
