The long-running Pink Rose Pastry Shop, which closed in January, has a new name, a new look and a new/old owner: Scott Lean, whose family owned the Pink Rose from 1998 to 2005, has revamped the space into Philly Sweettooth. The by-the-quarter-pound candy shop features some 250 items, all priced at under $3: gummy stuff, sour stuff, chocolate, nut mixes, dried fruit, Pez, etc. Lean hopes to introduce kettle corn and funnel cake machines in the future. They're open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. More on Meal Ticket.

Doma
1822 Callowhill St., 215-564-1114.

Robert and Patti Moon of Center City's Shiroi Hana (222 S. 15th St.) have contributed a new player to Franklintown's burgeoning restaurant row (Sabrina's 2, King of Tandoor, Kite & Key, etc.) with Doma, a Japanese/Korean BYOB serving lunch and dinner. The 36-seater's menu features atypical and upscale sushi dishes (a trio of uni, or sea urchin; monkfish liver pâté), bento boxes, a selection of signature and hand rolls and Korean specialties like bibimbap. Also on offer is an omakase platter, featuring a chef's selection of eight individually prepared sushi, sashimi and special rolls.

Xochitl
408 S. Second St., 215-238-7280, xochitlphilly.com.

Steve Cook and Michael Solomonov's Headhouse Square Mexican restaurant reopened Wednesday night after about two weeks of renovations. Opening chef/partner Dionicio Jimenez has left to work for Stephen Starr; he's been replaced by Lucio Palazzo (late of Percy Street Barbecue), who will be helming a menu that's been tweaked to feature lower price points. Gone are $25-plus entrées in favor of taco, torta and seafood selections (there's still a big ol' mixed grill option for multiple eaters available for $36). Aesthetically, they've taken down the wall separating the bar and dining areas on the ground floor, allowing for a more open and casual feel. More on Meal Ticket.

LITTLE VITTLES

Jonathan Petruce, currently cooking at Little Fish, has started space-hunting for Anima Napoletana, a Neapolitan pizzeria, in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood. He's in discussions for several spaces, but nothing's signed just yet. >> Mona Wilson's It's A CupCake has moved from 958 N. Second to 219 W. Girard, in a shared space with the boutique Homebody.
