no trade-backs

Nothing in life is free, but if you know how to work it, you can score an interesting trade. That's the theory behind Printeresting's DIY swap, in which you can swap any form of art in multiples (from zines to posters to broadsides) with your fellow printer. Cash transactions are completely prohibited. "It's great to witness the economies of bartering take place," says the Print Center's gallery store manager, Eli VandenBerg. All pretension goes out the window when artists bring one-of-a-kind prints and play tradesies for Xeroxed fliers, chapbooks and everything in between.
