[ get local ]
Despite its worldwide reach, user review site Yelp goes Philly-centric at its party of all things "artsy, crafty and creative," featuring farm-to-table restaurants and galleries highlighting area artists. "The idea sprung from wanting to feature different local food, beverages and retailers that employed organic sustainable and crafty business senses," says organizer Monica Silvestre. Check out complimentary mini-manicures, free mix tapes from TrickGo Clothing, Sugarcube's popup clothing and accessories shop, plus food and drink from a dozen different restaurants and bars. After you've sauced up on free booze (from purveyors like the Franklin and Victory Beer), ZipCar will provide gratis rides from the party on a limited basis. Everything's free, but guests must RSVP on Yelp to attend; there's only space for 500, so stake your claim early. Donations collected will benefit Mill Creek Farm in West Philly.
Sat., March 20, 8-10 p.m., free, CITYSPACE, 2200 Walnut St., 215-626-3650, yelp.com.
