Even for such a huge payoff, it's a long wait. After plodding through eight pleasant but unmemorable psych-rock ditties on their sophomore outing Chant Darling (Yep Roc), Kiwi rockers Lawrence Arabia unleash "I've Smoked Too Much" — with its '70s rock-guitar lead, emphatic gang vocals and instantly catchy melodic vibe. "All my exhibitionist neighbors have moved away," pines singer James Milne. Well, dude, if you'd opened with this, maybe they'd have stuck around.
