Where Pocahaunted had a droney, murky art-project kinda sound, Bethany Cosentino's new band is raw, free and from the heart. Best Coast — whose catalog right now consists of singles put out by this little label or that — makes kinda Breeders-ish, vaguely Throwing Muses-esque pop noise about heartache and happiness. This is a band to get excited about.
