uke shook me all night long

"When you pull out a guitar, people expect some measure of talent. You have to be able to play 'Wonderwall' or Goo Goo Dolls or something," says jam organizer Tina-Marie Joaquim. "When you pull out a ukelele, though, nobody expects anything. You can do whatever you want." Sunday marks the first jam, with subsequent uke sessions every second Sunday of the month. Don't play ukelele? Don't worry. Joaquim says they don't discriminate, all instruments are welcome.

Sun., April 11, 1 p.m., free, Rittenhouse Square, W. Rittenhouse Sq. & Locust Street.
